Have clocked up about 80,000 kms. The escape still drives smooth as silk. There have been no critical mechanical issues. The automatic gearbox has shown no peculiarities. I have never taken the escape offroad, ever since the gearbox cooked oil dilemma. I suppose because my car is new, there were no major gearbox or transaxle problems. It appears the new transmission oil fixed the predicament.
My braking system in conjunction with the ABS is very accurate. The duratec four cylinder ticks over like a swiss watch. Fuel economy is quite efficient especially on long trips.
