Ok so first thing is I bought a 2005 Ford escape like 2 months ago..second night I had it.... it ran hot and died....found out alternator was bad replaced alternator...battery is good as well...then stuttering problem when trying to accelerate was going on was told sparks and coils so replaced them both also the thermostat...got new overflow tank as well...so yesterday 2 days after getting coils replaced she ran a little bit better but stutter still persists and stall out as well.....but yesterday I was driving home on interstate and I noticed like a rattling noise as I hit the gas, I let off the gas and the noise went away hit the gas and noise returned I kept on driving when my escape literally started slowing down on its own....slower and slower it got till it finally just cut off.... the battery light came on and the oil light too...tried cutting back on but won't start and it seems it's not getting enough power, it's not as loud as it usually is when I try to start it...so i had it towed to house and then today the battery died while I just sat in the car trying to figure out the problem (still has not cut on since yesterday) someone please help I've heard MAF sensor so I have one ordered and in the mail now....what else could this be???

It sounds like it is definitely missing. Check the codes with an ODB reader and post. My ignition drivers went out in the engine computer and missed badly. I had to send it in and have it repaired to fix the issue and swapped out the plugs and coils at the same time to repair my issue.

Number one, your battery shouldn't have died while you were working on it, testing things. Because your battery shows 12 V, does not mean it is adequate under load. Load testing is completely different. auto parts store will load test your battery for free.

2: your alternator has nothing to do with overheating… I don't know who is telling you what.

your description could be the loss of a sensor, it could also be a plugged catalytic converter… You got some homework ahead of you, and the search engine at the top of this page is your friend. I would also recommend checking out the recommended reading at the bottom of these posts. Good luck.

with what you're describing, you don't have a CEL on? No abnormal lights on the dash you don't know what they mean? Do you have a code reader?
not trying to be rude, but you have several unrelated issues occurring.
