My brother and I just bought this 03 escape xls.
101 000km, no rust, great condition and 3 year warranty

Heres some pics...

the engine.. obviously

last but not least, the escape, with the 91 escort that the escape is replacing.
most reliable car i've ever seen, only 83 000 km... for sale

thanks everyone,

I have a few things in mind for it but first we're going to take it to get rust proofed, and then we'll need winter tires.

but for future mods I was thinking 18 - 20 inch rims, new headlight bulbs, adding fog lights, window shade visor things, and as we speak I've been doing the audio system.

Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed :thumb:

Would you want to change the whole head light assembly to the 05 version? A lot of fellow members of the forum have done that. Lilshimy is one of them I know for sure. Personally I would prefer 18" tires to give you a little more versatility over 20". Unless you are planning on keeping this thing strictly on the road then it's up to you.

looks great! and my first car was an escort (83 2dr formula 4spd) i still miss that car. it only let me down once, and since it had 400,000km on it. i didnt complain.

I'll miss the escort for sure when we sell it, its like a go-cart.
even for 88hp it has decent power, and lots of room for everything (paintball, snowboards. etc.)

We just traded our 98 Escort Sport on a Tribute. My wife loves her Tribbie, but still has the tear around Escort driving style going down the road.

Looking good. :thumb:

Agree with Scottie on the 18"s though. 18"s look good, but don't look too 'gangster', and they won't hinder you too greatly if you wanna do a spot of light off-roading.

you go with 20"s or even 22"s, you'll be swerving to avoid pebbles on the road! ;)

Did you have to open the fenders or wheel wells up for that? I didn't think they'd even fit in there.
