i just noticed something in the picts...you have a USB port by the aux input. was this something you custom did? if so how did you do it? i pick up my avic tomorrow and would to do it that way. also...your aux input, does it still work? and if so did you have to do anything special to keep it functional? sorry for all the questions

the usb will fit in the stock location and the deck has its own aux port in the front. The aux stock port i have never used and dont know if it works now, i doubt it since the stock deck is replaced.

well mine dont have a usb port stock....hence i thought maybe you fabricated that in. wonder if there is a way to keep that aux port active? seems like jpark said you could...ill have to ask him

Use Metra 70-5520AUX for keeping the OEM aux input with an aftermarket unit. I plan to buy/try this soon. It is a newer part, and more difficult to find (Crutchfield and Ebay don't have it). Sonicelectronix and a few others do. It's about $20 + shipping. You can find more details on metraonline.com.

Looks good. Im about to take my f-90bt out of my old truck and put it into my new escape.

Did you install it? If so, where did you buy the installation kit or did you just modify the stock dash to fit the double din head unit?

NIce turn out. Does the screen that tells you all the info on the top still works? The one that would tell you what radio station you have it on when it was stock.

the top screen will just say ford escape. All the info is displayed on the deck now.

FYI, I can confirm that the F900 works like a charm with 3.0 software (out there for free if you know where to look, aka avic411.com), and also at avic411.com there is a modder called Diaftia that made an incredibly graceful, fast, and gorgeous upgrade for these units.

It breathes new life into the series, and I highly recommend it.
