I periodically, give the other place an observation. Mr. NeAlvey has my sympathies. The cops pulled him over, for having a headlight out.

While pulled over, another driver rear ended the police car. NeAlvey has submitted links. So he is in the news. Fortunately everyone is safe. The officer received a few injuries.

The other driver, was charged with failure to get over. Crashing into a government vehicle, will not be appreciated. :bang:  :stop:

The same applies down under. The government, does not like their property being damaged.

its a huge fine in ontario if you have the rooms and dont pull over. there have been a few OPP (ontario provincial police) killed because a car hit them or their cruiser. what i dont understand, is how people CANT see the LED flashing lights! its like the times square christmas tree when they turn on the cherries.

CNB your so right. Red and Blue lights can be seen for a long distance. It doesn't make sence when something like this happens to someone. Most often they find that the crash driver has been drinking or is on a Cell Phone. :shades:

In this case the driver was a young lady "allegedly" reading text messages on her cell phone. She probably saw the lights but wasn't paying enough attention to the clearance she needed. Luckily there were no major injuries...

I've got to tell you this texting while driving thing has me really concerned. Phones are bad enough but I've seen cars wandering all over the road only to pull behind the them and see the driver with their cell phone in their hands over the steering wheel obviously texting. I know there have been a few instances while driving that if I was distracted like that I would have killed someone. I've had numerous kids come from between cars, down driveways on their bikes or running after balls that I've avoided hitting because I was paying attention. One time all I saw was the bottom 2 or 3 inches of a tricycle wheel under a car. A 3 or 4 year old was riding down the driveway at full speed into the street. I was easily able to stop because I saw this. My 15 year old niece was in the car with me at the time and I made a point to let her know how important it was to be concentrating on the road because things like this can happen at any time...
