Need Help on Car Navigation System

Hi All,
I just got my brand new 2009 escape but I don't know how to activate the navigation system.
If I choose on NAVI, it will appear "can't find navigation system".
Do I need only the software or I need the hardware as well for this navigation system?
What is the software recommended for this head unit since I don't know the brand of head unit installed in my car.
The head unit has SD slot on it.

Well hummm, 1) you gotta take the plastic off :hyst:

But (I don't have the Nav) sounds like you have the touch screen w/o the Nav hardware. Does the window sticker/invoice list the Nav? If so you need to go back to the dealer and see what needs to be done.
