Well, does the bug shield do anything to improve your vehicle? Like deflect air to keep bugs and junk off your windshield? If so, let form follow function.

I realy cannot say that it helps to keep the bugs and stuff off the windsheild, probably get as much bugs on the windsheild with it on or off
I would probably say it is more of an astetic (spelling) think than functional, I would say that it does help for stone chips if you do alot of gravel roads and such, hmm majority is put it back on along with the ford badge Dino

Right now I have no bug deflector and it looks naked to me. I can't wait for the day when I can put money into that... after i get tires, xcal, some actual floor mats, and other expenses not related to my Escape that are quite expensive (eg. wisdom teeth).

The emblem on the front of almost every vehicle IMO should be there. Or at least something to keep the balance of the design of the vehicle.

Therefore,
Deflector: On
Emblem: On

wow nice feedback people! well definetly the logo will not go back on as i held it up and i think it takes away from the billet grill, the shield Iam still on the fence with, its not hard to put on or take off so i will leave it off for awhile and see how that goes, what iam going to do today is buy a thin double pinstripe and run it along the top bodyline as Ive seen on some other escapes and I think that gives it abit of "flair" from being one solid color, and i thank everyone for there comments! bug shields are AWESOME. if i would have had one on my van when i had it, there would have been 0 rust on it when i traded it at 200,000km. the only rust spot was from a stone chip that a bug deflector would have taken the hit instead. i got the escape used and it was already stone screwed so im not wasting the money on a deflector.

you are 100% right crashNburn they are awsome for prevention of stonechips wich will turn into rust if chipped down to the metal and nothing done about it, Dino

^ Exactly. I wouldn't put on a bugshield for looks, BUT I do plan on buying one for function. I didn't want one on my new Mariner (too light of color). However, I already have some tiny chips -- which would have been saved if it always had one. I also don't buy them for "bugs". I might try a "clear" one.

Eyebrows ( deflector ) = ON. Jewellery ( Logo ) = ON .  Eyebrows ? Jewellery? Sorry about that. ;) Well if you think, of our car grills as a face. The headlights are eyes. All the badges are adornments. To me the deflector looks like eyebrows. :) :shades:
