Just paid for my new 2010 Hybrid Mariner AWD and pickin up Friday (will have pics). I've been doing some research and have seen a lot of concern with the braking system. I see a lot of the 2x4 and other Non-hybrid variations going with EBC rotors and Hawk pads, but i know the hybrid has a unique braking system... is there a way to ensure good stopping power in the hybrid without messing that regenerative function up? I live in Alaska so stopping is important lol.

Your braking system is fine and does not need modfication. Due to the regenerative braking system, certain procedures need to be performed prior to working on this system. I have never read of a hybrid owner changing out their OEM brakes for an aftermarket unit.

You have a 4wd system, not AWD.
