Hey everyone I'm thinking about new rims next summer and I was wondering if any of you fine peoples had and ideas. I was thinking about an 18 inch wheel and tire. the only thing I will not get is chrome. not a big fan. Thank you for any help you might have to offer

What color is your Escape? That makes a difference.

I think 18 is a good size, you still have some sidewall. 255 is the max width to go without having any rubbing issues I think, though plenty of people have wider and just take it easy with the turns.

Although they look smaller than the 16" wheel + tire combo, I must say that those look extremely nice with the Escape, especially the model that you have.

If it were me (for my 09 Escape) I would be getting these Mustang wheels + the Edge tire combo. I'd try to swap out the center logo for a regular Ford one instead of the Mustang one.

i like those rims from the ebay link but i wonder if lowering my escape would void any warrenties because mine is covered for 150,000 kms or 7 yrs

i'd just do the wheels... suspension is always hard to deal with. apparently there is little difference between the escape tire+wheel combo and the edge tire+wheel combo (~2.2%)

The Edge's wheel/tire is about half an inch taller than the Escape's wheel/tire

Escape is 235/70R16
Edge 18" is 245/60R18

I also believe the Edge wheels have a slight offset but I think that could only help the Escape's appearance
