Hello ! As the title says, I'm new to the group...a month ago I purchased a 2003, V-6 from the original owner...has 63K mile on the clock. Came with all documentation / paperwork for any repairs / services performed at the Ford dealership where the car was purchased new. She always took the car to the Ford dealership, never took the car anywhere else for maintenance, except the current Continental tires. A good ride so far...except one intermittent issue. Glad to have this Escape/Tribute/Maverick !

Welcome to the City!! We are glad you joined us!!! Your 2003 looks like the XLT that I had back in the day. It had the 3.0L V6 paired to the 4 speed automatic transmission.

What is the intermittent issue you are experiencing? The 4 speed was prone to have a "shudder" when shifting from 3rd to 4th. You could feel this when it occurs.
