Thinking about adding this to my 01 Escape.. Should work on the 1st Gens from what I've read.. I do have a sunroof, but being that I don't carry cargo on my roof, I don't think I should be at too much at risk of the roof collapsing. Also, I know I'd "need" the class 2 trailor hitch and a bumper and all that.. I'm not too concerned about it, I can make the roof rack work with what I have. This is just more of an appearance mod to me than anything. Anywho, does anyone know if these are available from anywhere besides the dealerships yet? I would like to put one on my Escape.
