OBD codes P0012 & P0022.
I just picked up off lease 2009 Escape XLT 3.0 fwd.
I have had it for 4 days and the check engine light came on with the above codes.
Can I assume its the cam shaft sensor that needs replacing ?
Thanks (first post here).

That TSB info is messed up! How can vehicles built before 4/22/09 include the '10 Fusion and Milan? I know they were mid-year but didn't think that they were building them that early in '09!

Just got it back from the dealer. Performed the TSB. Since my mileage is 37,000 kms, they wouldnt pay for the intake or plug seal gaskets so I said I would. You know...while its apart anyway....$50.00 my cost no labour.
Thanks for the help.

Hi. The repair took 3 days. The part apparently had to come to Toronto from Detroit (thats what they told me).

What would happen if the VCT solenoids are not replaced? I am having the same issue. I plan to replace them, just curious.

When I checked the codes at Autozone, the guy working there ran the code and the possible causes to the error code was using the incorrect weight oil. Anyone think this could cause the issue as well?
