Quantum of Solace......Thoughts?

Saw it a couple of days ago. Overall I did quite enjoy it, but I do have issues.

The 'bad guy' is about as menacing as Papa Smurf.

The story is a little confusing. Feel like I need to watch it again to fill in the holes.

It isn't as good as 'Casino Royale'.

Any opinions?

lol, thats what i want to know as well.
Bond briefly uses the DBS he had in Casino Royale. Doesn't really have his own car for much of the film.

Oh yeah. The bad guy drives a black Ford Edge! What is it with evil people and Edges?

I am for sure going to go and see this movie, as well as the Transporter 3 later on this month. Also, before I forget, I'm going to go and see Fast and Furious, the last installment of the series, which is actually a Pre-quel to Tokyo Drift next spring/summer.
I swear - I've been watching many of the previous Pierece Brosnan Bond movies that they've been airing on Spike for the last 2-3 weeks, and they've got QoS content (outtakes, "how they did it", preview) inbetween commercials. I feel like I've seen a ton of the movie already, but nothing that directly spoils the plot.

As Mr. BC says, early on he destroys his Aston Martin DBS the same as he uses in CR. Jack White (White Stripes/Alicia Keys sing the theme song "Another Way to Die".
I think they used eight Astons to make QOS.

And the scene of the car hurdling through the barrier into the lake killed the stuntman. He didn't die on the scene as I recall, but later in the hospital.
I saw it Thursday night and loved it. I liked the car chase at the beginning but I'm really disappointed by the lack of screen time for the Aston Martin. I think the DBS is one of the best looking cars today. I think the action scenes were thought out and well executed. The first chase scene was great. The Ford guy in me also liked the other vehicles :) There was a 2009 Ka and the hydrogen powered Edges, which I thought were really slick. All in all well worth it, now I just have to wait for Transporter 3 and Star Trek to come out :yahoo:
Star Trek?

Who is in this movie? What's the story line?
Dunno. But 'Sylar' from Heroes is Mr Spock. And Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) is Scotty apparently. :thumb:
Simon would be a good pick. :thumb:

I don't watch Heroes...

It's a combination reboot and prequel. It's supposed to take place before the original series when the Enterprise was first being built/launched. Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Eric Bana (Nero, I think he's the bad guy), Simon Pegg (Scotty), Winona Ryder (Amanda Grayson), Zoe Saldana (Uhura), Karl Urban (McCoy), John Cho (Sulu), Bruce Greenwood (Pike), Anton Yelchin (Chekov), and Leonard Nimoy (Old Spock).
The trailer shows an Aston-Martin DB9 being sideswiped.

I can't see the movie for that reason alone.

Sadly. It isn't a DB9, it's a DBS! Even more of a travesty!!
