I have a 2001 Escape. The door panels rattle all the time. I made sure all the clips are there, and not broken. But they are still rattling. Any ideas? Would some foam under the panel work??

It would probably work. But, if it was me, I'd want to figure out what it was that was rattling before I started to try to mask the problem. It could be a screw loose on the panel, could be something behind the panel. I'd take the panel off, tighten everything behind it or see if anything like cable ties or something could be rubbing or banging into the panel, then carefully reattach the panel and see if it goes away.

Is there anything in the drawer below the passenger seat? Could it be something in the glove compartment? I had a rattle last night. I wasn't sure where it was but at the next traffic light I opened the glove compartment, pushed some stuff around and closed it. The rattle was gone after that...

Make sure it is seated tight and u not missing *ANY* fasteners..If one is missing that area won't be tight enough and it may cause your rattling..

Or maybe there is a rattle snake in your door....
Go around the whole edge and punch all around with palm of hand, or push real hard. You may of missed one fastener..

Also check the speaker mount. Also make sure grip cup is screwed down.Sometimes u have to pop up a small cover to get to screw inside that handle cup..

I will try all of that this weekend. I mostly hear it when I am taking off from a stop or the road is uneven.

Check everything besides door, like seat belt mounts, all trim around doors. Also if u have a moonroof, check the slide cover.I recently had a rattle noise that i thought was coming from the pass side somewhere near the door.

Well after a few days i happen to push up on the moonroof slide cover and thats what it was..Funny how sound seems like it's coming from one area, but actually is coming from another..

Only other thing I can think of is, do you have anything in the door pocket? My friends will stick things, like their keys, or what not into the door pocket - it's maddening. They now know not to do it - or I just give them a look once I hear it and it's removed.

It could also be anything in other pockets, such as the console, cup holders, rear cargo pockets.
