Doesn't the 2009 have the all red tail light, and a single bulb for tail light and stop/blinker? I don't understand going with an amber bulb with red lens.

a clear 3457 is slightly brighter for the bright filament than the 3157 and 4157, but add the amber tint and it will be less.

 

Yes, basically any xx57 bulb will fit in the same socket. 57 is a two filament T25 25mm wide bulb.
