Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients

* 3 or 4 ripe bananas, smashed
* 1/3 cup melted butter
* 1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)
* 1 egg, beaten
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* Pinch of salt
* 1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

Method

No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4x8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

***I added a sprinkle of cinnamon to mix and my loaf was ready in 45 min. so monitor the baking time. It came out soooo yummy!! No leftovers.... :( Oh, and you could add walnuts to this mix if desired.

Yes, you are! :heart:
A few slices of bread.
Margarine or butter them lightly.
Have a griller on standby.
Obviously the griller, would be a portable horizontal gadget.
Or the oven grill could be used.

Put some ,baked beans on the bread slice.
Next put a slice or two, of cheese on top of the beans.
Put the sliced bread, inside the griller.
Allow cheese to melt over beans, until about golden brown.
Then maybe a light sprinkle, of salt and pepper on the melted cheese. :drool:
Colleen,

Couldn't resist. :lol:

And thanks! :)

Stone,
That sounds simple enough...mmmmmm!!
Dasha, I'm glad you couldn't resist. Gave me a good laugh! :D
