I decided to detail the outiside of the truck today, and while I was doing this, I decided to remove the cross bars to see what the truck would look like without them on, as well as road test the truck to see if it were quieter. The truck looks shorter without them, and there DOES seem to be less wind resistance noise, both with the sunroof closed, or tipped open...

Anyone else do this? I will wait and see if I want to put them pack on or not...I might remove the racks totally...

It's a matter of perspective. I like the extra 1-2 mpg that I get without the roof rack. You like looking at clutter on your roof and listening to wind noise? Keep them on. :peace:

I may take mine off when I go down to Ft Myers at the end of May just for the increase in mpg. But they won't be off for long lol

I always thought an SUV would need those on...otherwise it just looks....well...wrong??
So why did you tell me to take mine off, Scottie? :shades: :taz:
