Hey Everyone, It's time for me to change the shocks on my 2005 Escape.
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I want something that
Will give me a smooth ride. Thanks in advance.

It seems the two most popular shocks for this vehicle are KYB and Monroe.

I put KYB's on my 2002 Tribute. They rode fine, much like the OEM.

Haven't heard anything bad about the Monroe's.

I've had the Monroe's for about 3 years now. They aren't bad but they don't seem any better than the OEM. I was hoping they would soften the ride a little but they didn't. Again, they are very similar to the OEM. I had heard the KYB's give better handling but a slightly stiffer ride. The one benefit to the Monroe's is they have a lifetime warranty. If you have a problem, you just pay for the labor to have them replaced...
