Just realized I've never changed my spark plugs since I purchased my Escape with 42,000 km (25,000 miles) on it. I now have 95,000 km (60,000 miles). I see that the job is a bit more complicated with removal of the intake manifold required on the V6. I've detected no hesitation or misfires, so, maybe it's too early to get into a job like that. Some say, if it's not broken, don't fix it. I do like to tinker, though.

I somewhat recently acquired an '11 AWD V6, and the thought of removing the upper intake spooked me a little.
I've been wrenching for almost 20 years (non-professionally) but something about removing intakes doesn't jive with me.
Found very helpful videos on Youtube, and the spark plug install went easier than expected.
You have to carefully position the upper intake in order to get to the back 3 plugs, but it's not very hard. You'll get it!
Took maybe 2 hours being my first time, but I bet next time will be half the time.
