This just started the other day. when I start to accelerate i get this squeaking noise when i get up to around 40 it stops or when i let off the gas during acceleration it stops. If i'm in park and put it into drive and just coast it dosnt do it either.

Sometimes i have a passenger ,of the opposite gender in my car. If i drive sensibly there is no squeaking. But for some reason , if my driving becomes too enthusiastic the squeaking noise is quite audible.  :) :taz: :spank:  :bang:  :shades:

I have a similar problem with my 2002 Ford Escape. A squealing noise especially when it kicks into overdrive. Slight squeal when I am accellerating uphill. So far it has been 4 hours in Ford Service and they haven't come back to tell me the answer of what is wrong. I am concerned at $99 / hour flat rate. Did you find out the final problem with your car? Thanks.
