Im having a rather annoying problem with my Escape. It is stalling almost constantly when placing into reverse and if you hit the brakes hard in drive. It will restart with no issues and has not set a check engine light. The engine idles fine and when the ac compressor kicks on in park/neutral the idle adjusts normally. I have already replaced the infamous IAC and even the upper and lower intake gaskets, PCV and tube. Also it was given new plugs, 2 new coils, and had the throttle body cleaned about 2k miles ago. Currently she has just at 100000 miles. Any help would be much appreciated!!! I'm at a complete loss with this issue. :horse:

have you checked spark plugs and wires? what about the tps?

When it stalls does it sputter out or just shut off. Does the electrical cut out as well, like your radio or just the engine?

Sounds like it may be a vacuum issue. Just trace all the vacuum lines and make sure they're not dry rotted. Does it run fine at speed?
Agreed, I would definitely check all possible vacuum lines.
