So I got my strut tower brace in the mail today, a lot earlier than what they said. Anyway it was about a 10-15 minute install and I can already feel the difference it makes. Very pleased with it and it looks good too. I'd recommend this mod to anyone! Enjoy:

Now I feel like a tard.

That looks great :D Since we acquired ours different ways, would you post a link to where you bought it?

I think those are the same link.

I rotated mine, which makes the sticker backwards but it clears the reservoir and the electrical connectors against the firewall. I still had to flex the wiring attached to the left strut but that's "flexible" anyway.

Enjoying the new ride feel?

Fixed the second link. I was too tired to fix it the other night. I too found the wires on the drivers side a bit annoying. Yes! I love how it rides. I'm considering having the H&R lift springs installed especially considering the awesome quote I got. The strut bar would pair nicely with a 1" lift.

@ Escape94 I have heard about issues with there not being much thread on the strut tower bolts to accommodate the bar, but on yours there appears to be enough. I guess different manufacturers have varying plate thicknesses accounting for the problems. I like the one you got and have been considering that same one on ebay :thumb:

The fitment issues were with the Alutec stb. I have the Alutec one and mine fit fine with more than enough threads for a proper installation. I love the look of mine and it made a night and day difference in handling. Everything feels much tighter and doesn't roll around like it did before... Hell, my girlfriend even commented on the feel of it. lol :thumb:

You are correct. I have no worries about the nuts coming loose. This is the same one that meatloaf has. Night and day difference. Not that expensive either.

The ones in the auction look a little different than the one you have. Wonder if it ended up being better or not.
The first link is the one that I ordered. The second one is different.

I went ahead and got the same one, they said it will ship Monday
It's a good one. I haven't had any regrets.

The first link looks like much better quality over the second. The first actually is held down by all four bolts that holds the struts in place, the second looks like its only held on by one bolt on each side. Might as well get a steel tube, cut to length and drill a hold on each end...

What I meant to say that was different was the location of where the bar mounts to the plates. In the picture it's forward of the plates. On the one you have, it's right on the plate.

And you guys bought the one in the first link, that exact one? It says meant for 01 - 06 Escapes and Tributes, are these just another part that will fit the 09 - 12 Escape and doesn't say it.

I had the same concerns even though I know structurally the 01-07 are the same as the 08-12, but seeing it fit so nicely on Escape94's I went ahead and got it

For all intents and purposes relating to the strut tower bar, they're all the same vehicle.

Flat, it corners very flat with comparatively little or no roll, definitely an improvement and worth the time and money invested :thumb:[/quote

That's exactly what my impressions were too. Now lower it and it feels even better.

If I wanted it lower I'd buy a Focus
Great
