Just wondering why you'd out a brand new Corsa for a 6 year old Maverick?

Just wondering why you'd out a brand new Corsa for a 6 year old Maverick?

Got a baby on the way, I drive a newish car too and we basically don't need two newish cars sitting on around depreciating! Wanted more space and liked the idea of a higher up 4x4 style car with 5 proper seats and reasonable performance, and we might also want to do some towing in the future (for cheap hols lol) - i was thinking freelander, x-trail etc before. However when I started looking around I liked the no nonsense styling of the maverick, and it had a lot going for it for me, only the silly future tax bracket put me off but it has seemed to drive the prices down to ridiculously bargainous levels, giving cash in the bank for baby etc!

selling the corsa means we will have a decent practical car, and i still get to keep my own car which is reasonably practical and good fun!

Edit - And I agree Chris, that advert is sickeningly bad!

To be fair, we sold our 2003 Subaru Imprezza to get the Maverick for the same reasons, the Land Rover Freelander was turned down because of its reliability problems, and the Nissan X-Trail because of the central dashboard Layout.
It did take us a while to find a good Maverick, esp to find a 2.0 with leather, as I don't like automatic cars, or buses/coaches, come to that!, but with a dog and young child, leather was a must, as it's a lot easier to keep clean.
