Regarding the wiring harness, it comes with the flashes electronics box that is powered seperately (wire and fuse to battery). Just wires will change the draw on the flashers causing them to become very slow or not flash at all (possibly damage the electronics?)

I bought mine at U-Haul with the connectors attached for about $60 cdn (I assume the hybrid is the same) I think this one https://www.uhaul.com/MovingSupplies/Qu ... 1?id=13577 (price seems a little higher online)

ottawa.... does your Escape have a backup camera ? Mine does not and one site I found said the wiring harness would NOT work unless the car has a backup camera.

It does not.... sounds odd to me (maybe they have some different item?)
