Ok, my Escape has been doing this since it was new(to me). It has 77,500 miles on the clock right now. When I am on a hill with any amount of noticible incline, my car will roll backwards when I am in drive if I let off the brakes. Also, if I am in reverse and am on a downhill slope, I will roll forward when I let off the brakes. When I am driving along I will notice that my car has trouble keeping speed when I start going up even a SLIGHT up hill. It will downshift and keep the RPM's higher just to be able to keep at 70.

Can anyone help with my trans problem? If I need a rebuild of it than is there a way I can make the trans die faster so the warrenty will pay for it? (this is because I hate my warrenty company! It is not through Ford! So I am not trying to hurt Ford.)
