OK, thanks to some great help here, I've started working on adding an aux 12v power to the rear of the center console. While cleaning things out, I found a plastic bolt beside the passenger seat and center console, but can't figure out where it is from.

I have not done anything to the seat or console, other than clean up a little and checking everything out to get ready to do the install this weekend.

I could be wrong, but I've never seen a Ford fastener that looks like that, even if the threaded section was broken off of another part.

My guess is that it's not a part from your car.

I've never seen that either. I can't think of any nylon fasteners like that other than for the radiator drain plug, and the drain plug is not that long.

I dunno. I'm with them, I've never seen a Ford with a plastic bolt or nut like that! :shrug:

Maybe put there to keep you guessing.

could be from assembly, a like up dowel that teh robot punches out with the proper bolt.??

I've taken the seat out and nothing appears to be missing. The odd thing is that I am the only one that drives the vehicle (work) and no one sits on that side. I have cleaned it before and this just magically appeared...ok ready for the kicker...another plastic bolt has mysteriously appeared, this time in the cargo area...I'm begining to think the plastic bolt fairy is messing with me.
