Well just got my headrests with the monitors in from the states and the guy shipped it UPS after i stated to him i wanted it to go usps anyways I had a nice cod charge at the door for $68.00!! I think that is absoulutely nuts, I will never have anything to do with ups again, Ive had other stuff come in through usps and there was never these killer brokerage fees, i found out the hardway last year when i bought a harddrive from ebay for $25.00 and the guy shipped UPS wich at the time i didnt know about these stupid fees and they charged me $34.00 brokerage fees! the fee was worth more than the puter harddrive, anyways sorry for venting and my spelling mistakes, after I calm down I will start the install on these, when iam done I will post some pics for you guys and gals, so anyways have a good day cause mine just went kinda crappy after this, Dino

Funny you mention it ....
About 2 months ago I sold a motorcycle seat on Ebay to a man in Canada. UPS LOST the package. It took almost this entire 2 months to get it resolved and the package was never found. I had to complete claim forms and I just got a check from them the other day.

Yup UPS to Canada sucks, they use a third party for brokerage, as does FedeX. I buy a few items through eBay and such out of the US and always request USPS. Even to the point of spelling it out United States postal Service...

ya i got screwed once too, i hate when people wont ship regular mail. i got a set of motorcycle mirrors from the Philippines and it cost less to ship then stuff i have ordered from the US. NAFTA does not exist, it is a figment of out imagination

I've stopped buying from across the border for that reason. Almost everything I want can be found on local classified sites or in a retail store.

USPS was limited to a $5 brokerage fee the last time I checked. UPS and FedEx won't charge a brokerage fee if you ship by air, or if you live by the border and tell them that you will 'broker' the package yourself. Not sure how that works.

I bought a Ken Harrison radio from Year One (Twin-shaft knob cassette deck that LOOKS like a stock delco from the 70's, but has a 4-channel amp built in, along with a aux input for mp3, and amplifier pre-outs too), and the duties/brokerages, and whatever other fees that were involved, also cost MORE than the item I purchased (also the customer service from Year One sucked bigtime too).

I bought body parts for my Focus from a place in Frankfurt Germany, and he used Deutschland post (German postal service) to mail my stuff, and the shipping from GERMANY was faster, and cheaper than from the US. I'm talking a spoiler, headlight assemblies complete, grilles, side skirts, etc and not something the size of a stereo HU.

Don't worry dude, your not the first or last person to get burned by a shipping company.

Well on the flip side I use UPS and recieve stuff almost weekly and have never had a problem or anything lost. I however have not shipped into Canada so that may well be a different story. I do however have some real stories about the Post Office
