Very low rumble idle almost like diesel 2011 3.0L

Video of sound. 2011 3.0L low rumble sounds like a diesel even warmed up to operating.

no check engine lights during normal driving operation engine still sounds the same.

Also getting about 450 km per tank of very nice city driving. New spark plugs were recently installed and engine was washed too.

I will starting with cleaning the throttle body and checking the maf sensor later (or am I wasting my time)?

Cleaning the throttle body or MAF sensor is never a waste of time, and should be part of normal maintenance. Check the motor mounts by lightly power braking in forward and reverse while watching the engine movement.

After cleaning, reset the KAM.

It sounds like the exhaust manifold gasket, close to the firewall, is leaking. Is it doing this noise all the time?

mine does the exact same tapping/knocking...basically they say it is the character of the motor.
some techs suggest checking the torque of the camshaft for loose bolts (seems common issue) in some models.

it does it all the time.

my ford mechanic brother does say this isa normal sound for the engine.

You would of thought ford would have fixed the camshaft bolt issue when they redesigned the heads for vvt.

Replaced the water pump belt today, engine is much quieter in the cab, as well as open hood. Smoother as well not sure how.

thanks for postig the videos, the 2nd video seems like a normal duratc V6 engine noise which is a bit noisy engine in general. the slight tapping, tick tick tick sounds exactly like mine.
