Last night, my wife and I were travelling to take a family friend home at around 1230AM,

Then suddenly a Blue Toyota Rav4 was tailing us and beaming his lights. I pulled over and the two egyptian or maybe jordanian guys disembarked. Signaling with a hand of WAIT...

I was a bit alerted and readied myself for any untoward incident that might happen (looking for my 6 inch screw driver) :box:

They approached us with a smile and i was expecting that these guys are from Ri'āsat Al-Istikhbārāt Al-'Āmah (General Intelligence Presidency - GIP=good in tracking down al qaeda here in the M. E.) CIA version of the US of A.

To my surprise, they just inquired about my Escape's performance and everything.....they really followed us the moment they saw us because according to the other guy they've been looking for FORD Escape's for almost 3 days and found nothing and yes they are very lucky they found one....mine.

Reason for their curiosity is that they've been expecting a shipment of Escape 2005 model from the US which they ordered directly next week...

At first kinda a scary coz somebody you dont know will flag you down in the middle of the night here in KSA but surprising because of the recognition and admiration for the Escape. :peace:

It's cool that they did it to talk about the Escape but that would have scared the bejisus out of me...

I guess I have to ask the obvious:

Did you direct them to Escape City.com?

Glad they were friendly and inquisitive.

12:30am you stopped where?--in the middle of no where? I would have called 911 before stopping in the middle of no where for someone asking about an automobile when they easily could have stopped at the dealership or used the internet.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's no 911 in Riyadh, and it sounds like there weren't really any Ford dealers to speak of.

--Scary,--- but I had this happen a few times back in 2001, when I had one of the few Escapes in the area.

(call 911 in Riyadh, pretty funny)
Correct! there's no 911 in Riyadh, you just have to be intimidating and firm-friendly looking guy in this country when dealing with them... :box:

Most of the people in here specially the devoted Muslims :kneel: are kind and friendly...You just say "Salam Malaikum" (Peace Be With You)they will automatically reply "Walaykum Salam (same to you) and all the doubts and bad things they were planning to do (if any) wont happen...that's the magic word in here :thumb:

Sounds crazy but true
