my voltage gauge needle jumps around alot when my music is playing loud and subs are on.. is this normal? and would a voltage stabilizer, capacitor, or upgraded battery grounds help with this problem?
STAY away from voltage regulator. I put one in and two days later my 4 month old alternator went south for the winter. i say a bigger alternator is in order. I did notice better power from the regulator but at the exspense and 3hrs of labor to change the alternator (nah).
I would say cap, it's the cheapest and you should be able to easily install. I've got this: http://www.buy.com/prod/boss-cap2b-...ital-voltage-meter/q/loc/66357/207382845.html
for $32 shipped it's a hella good deal, digital gauge comes with a mounting bracket. If you've got spare 8 ga. wire around you'll be set to install this in no time.
You won't damage anything by installing a cap that might be larger than your needs.
