I'm thinking about painting the center console bezel, side air vents, silver arm rest, and maybe door handles painted the same charcoal looking color as the dash part. I think that would look pretty slick. How hard would it be getting really close to that color?

I've painted air vents and other parts in cars before and they turned out really well

Since lacquer-based paints chemically attach to plastic, and since they dry harder and have less odor than enamels, all you need to do is take a sample part to Pep Boys or Advance Auto and match the part to a can of touch-up paint.

Just be careful not to make each coat too heavy, or use more than a few light coats, or you may end up with bubbled-up paint, melted plastic, or a heavy coat that won't dry as hard as the plastic.

I'm in Ada oklahoma. My escape is an 08. I looked at your painting job looks good but not the same color. Thats about the color it is now. I want it to be the same color as the darker part of the dash on the 08's
