Well I took of my door panel today for the first time in three years to fix a speaker wiring problem (loose connection) and was greeted with this:

My $1200 speakers, rusted! I have no clue how this is happening - I assume water is getting in from when it rains and the window seals aren't perfect. Does anyone have any idea on how to prevent this from happening?

What size of speakers do you have??? , there are foam baffles that cup the back side of the speaker, check out crutchfield.
