I was going to replace the water pump belt and the Haynes manual tells me to rotate the tensioner then remove the belt. What tensioner? All I see are two pulleys, the water pump and the camshaft ones.

Does this require removal of the water pump?!

My service manual says to cut and remove the old belt. To install a new one, fully seat it on the water pump pulley and position it on the camshaft pulley as far as it will go. Rotate the crankshaft to further seat the belt.

I would make sure you have alternative transportation in case Step 2 goes :fan:

Wow! That reminds me of my bike as a kid. Whenever the chain came off I had to do that.

What's the easiest way to turn the engine? On my Mustang, I would leave it in neutral and turn the engine by the main crankshaft pulley.
