I recentely got a 2010 Ford Escape XLT. It now has about 800 miles on it and there has some issues that I am somewhat concerned about. Before I drove it up to school two or three days ago, I was sitting in the vehicle with some friend and the vehicle was on (Engine Running) and out of the blue, the display under the speedometer says "Front Track Left Tire Low" along with the flashing yellow tire symbol. It kept doing it for a few minnutes along with the acoustic sound. Then out of the blue as well, the vehicle honked twice then did it again. I went home and the next morning, the tire monitor light did not flash nor did the vehicle honk. While I was driving up to school on Sunday, I was using cruise control (lots of highways) and when I would press "Res +" to get the vehicle to accelerate, it would slow down alittle. Around two to four minnutes later, the vehicle would all of a sudden rapidly accelerate but the RPM meter would stay at 5,000 RPMS and then a few seconds later drop back down to 2,000 or 3,000 RPMs.

I have an appointment at the Ford dealership to check these issues out but I was wondering if anyone knew what could have caused this. Advice and Solutions would be great!

Neverheard of such a thing. Did you by chance check your tire pressure?

That's strange. The few times that the TPMS has gone off on me, the message center just said: "Check Tire Pressure." I wish mine told me which tire to check like yours does.

My TPMS light has never blinked IIRC though; it would just stay on solid.

"Front Track Left Tire Low" huh??? No check engine light (CEL)??? Dont know, I want to know what it could be. I bet if you take it to the dealership then they will do one of two things: flash the computer or send you off with no help.

Come to think of it; It could be the TMPS system. It could be that one is bad or fell off the band (the track) or is loose on it.

OK to think of it some more when the TMPS is being trained and one or more of the sensors isnt recognized the horn will sound 2 times. Now I dont know what relation that has with your engine reving in such a strange manner. Let us know what you come up with at the dealership. If they cant find anyhting mention the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System) may have to be looked at.
