Congratulations on the new edge weebee. :) I have been a tad quiet on the forum. It must be just that certain time in the year. Work has gone very quiet. At the moment we have a job, that is giving everyone the s..ts! :censor: :cuss: :wall:  I am just getting over the flu. But it will pass.

Remember that toyota diesel, dual cab hilux i was interested in? Have performed number crunching, and it would not have been financially feasible. The dual cab ute is classed as a ' commercial vehicle '. What a pain! Henceforth, i would have been up for more expensive insurance policy, plus on top of that the car registration costs more. They are basically $52,000 on road, with govt fees included as per adelaide.

I would have fully accesorised it. Had estimates given at two separate toyota dealerships. An SR5 Hilux fully loaded, comes to about $76,000. One of the yard estimated it to be about $ 66,000.  In reality i would need a job, with a lot better wages to afford a ute like that. The other model i was keen on, is the Toyota Prado diesel 4x4 station wagon. Once again far too expensive.

Also i do not have any bickering juniors to control. :) Sorry about that but it is meant in a kind way. There is only the two of us. Just me and the cook. A huge Prado diesel 4x4 is a bit too big just for two people. The cook is quite happy with the escape, and seems to appreciate its advantages as a medium size vehicle.

The nissan navara 4x4? Sorry but i just can't tolerate the styling. Ford ranger 4x4 or its Mazda 4x4 ute equivalent? No, but not quite my cup of tea. Actually the only 4x4 model ,that could appeal to me is the ' Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ' I regard it as just a nicely medium sized vehicle for two people. Now if " JEEP " could have the four cylinder or a diesel engine in it, that would be right up my alley. Actually i have recently perused the specifications of, the " JEEP Wrangler unlimited RUBICON " HMMM! Providing the six cylinder is economical, this " RUBICON " wrangler sounds quite hardcore in context of mechanical components.

Locking differentials and electronic sway bar disconnect! :)  Mud tires! I checked out the " RUBICON " in silver. She looks mighty purty  I possibly could resort to the six pot engine, but it would have to achieve good economy as per country driving. Obviously the mileage ,would need to be reasonable in the city and suburbs. Is this model available in automatic gearbox? Yes! i am excited. I like the overall styling, and it does have a good road stance, regardless if it's parked or being driven. :) :) :topic:

Sorry about straying from the core subject weebee. It is obvious that you have, a very nice car as per the " EDGE ". At the moment i can not trade in escape, because of job situation. But if things were to ever pick up a bit, that wrangler rubicon does suit my lifestyle. Only dreaming at the moment. The " RUBICON" six pot has to possess acceptable fuel economy. Auto trans would be nice. Does it have seat height adjustment on drivers seat? If not i would fit a pair of genuine lambswool seat covers. Yes! they do add a bit of extra viewing height. This is exactly why i have them in the escape.

This ' Rubicon ' wrangler has enough features. I would not have to do a lot of accessorising. A definite install has to be a pair of HID240 Lightforce spotlights. Plus a decent set of mud tires. Has to be a four door like scotts jeep. Definitely with a hard top. No tarpaulin soft top for me, but no thanks as i have reasons. Once had a little soft top suzuki 4x4 as a loan car. The draught of cold air was coming in everywhere.
