Cool Beans! I had a Hyundai when they first came out. Not a bad car, but I do like my Escape much better.

Every Ford my family has owned has lasted a long time. My parents have owned a 79 Bronco, 84 Grand Marquis, 97 Mountaineer, and currently have an 09 Mariner Hybrid...all great vehicles. And we love our 09 Escape. Only bad GM any of us had was my 06 Impala, tranny was going bad at 50k. The last 3 Chryslers my parents and I have owned (mom's 77 Aspen, dad's 83 Aries, my 89 Daytona) were pieces of doo doo, and we've learned our lesson...NEVER AGAIN! When my 02 Cavalier dies, it will likely be replaced with something that has a blue oval on the front of it!

Well, here are some Blue Oval goodies I had the pleasure of being their owner.
Anglia, Escort, LTD, Mustang, Ka, Focus, Escape.
In between there were some other brand names, none from the Far East.
Most fun so far: A 1967 Mini Cooper S and the Escape.

My family has always had a Ford for most of the time I can remeber. My father owned a Ford Escort Pony (I think this was the US version of the Fiesta?). Then a 95(I think) Ford Windstar. Side note; the Windstar changed the way American's viewed Minivans as they set a new standard for safety and features, well in my honest opinion cause everyone played catchup to Ford just like the Raptor is today ;) After that I traded in my 89 GMC S15 pickup for a Ford Escape ZX2 which had the new VTech engine. My mom got one as well cause she was with me when I got it and it saved her life when her ZX2 was sandwiched between two cars as the one behind her was hit by a guy failing to stop at a red-light (Cops reported that he was going 60mph when he hit the 1st car) she escaped with just a few bruises. I traded my ZX2 for a Pontiac Vibe, which was an unsung gem that GM carried but did little to promote it. When my father got into a wreck while driving (I was in Japan at the time) I got my Escape when I left Japan. Now my mom owns a Ford Expedition and my father owns a Ford F-150.

Previous ford models i had were: Cortina as a 2litre four cylinder.
Falcon EB and Falcon EL , with six cylinder engines.
A 1970 Falcon XY GT sedan , with a 302 size V8 engine.

The Falcon 302 V8 had a four speed manual, plus the twin exhaust.
I sometimes miss, the exhaust note of that model.
It had an exquisite rumble.

The " Escape ", is my fifth ford model. :) :thumb:
