My first post on your wonder forum and hoping someone could assist. After a month of searching for a very aggravating whistle sound at idle I have determined it is coming from this thing - http://i810.photobucket.com/albums/zz22 ... G_0737.jpg Could someone please identify this part for me. Located below the throttle body on a 2005 2.3L

WoW - I guess I don't feel so stupid any longer. This whatever has a single vacuum line attached that goes to the middle of the fuel rail on top of the head. Possibly to the fuel pressure sensor - not sure. The noise is driving me nuts and it must stop. :wall:

THX for looking

The whistle stops when it is sprayed with brake cleaner. Finding info on the IMRC is very difficult.
I'm thinking it may be a solenoid/diaphragm or ? Dealer only part I would assume.

A correction - the vacuum line is going to what I think is the IMRC solenoid.
