:lol: Great memories, My son who really dose have athletic abilities (coordination or whatever) was always stuck in right field and always wanted 3rd, short-stop and/or 2nd base. My wife who already warned me (she's older than I) to keep my mouth shut when I went to games. Tip, "Good Advice" some of those mom's & pops took this soooo seriously, I couldn't believe it.. Well, I found out that the Shortstop's dad was a lawyer and gave the coach some free services and the 2nd bases mother even offered sex!!!! "True story" Anyway, he was selected to the All-Star team. For some reason or another, the All-Star coach put him at short-stop. He made a awesome play and his regular coach was there. He went ballistic for his (good) performance.
After the game, which they lost. I, couldn't hold it back any longer! I, (tried to be calm) but let that coach have it verbily. :hyst: My wife,(Mrs PK) keep trying to clam me down. But I was right!! But basically, I embarrassed my son and he told me so. I've never embarrassed my kids since then and that's been close to 30yrs. But, little league is a joke!!! It's as true as 45 years ago as it is today. It's not how good you are, it's who you know. Don't think, there aren't good fare coach's out there,their are. But they are, far & few in between. I'm done ranting............ PK
