I went from a 10" CVR to a 12" L7 and the 12 moves so much more air and the sound travels a lot farther, although the 10 is tighter and sounds more controlled. This is still coming from the same amp so there is no difference in power

I love my 12. I used to have two 10s but i like this so much more. Its a great "all around" sub. As for the one on ebay your looking at, thats a type s and i have a typr r. Its alpine so im sure it sounds good but since I bought my type r 12 and box for ~$160 i would try to get the type r . you can get a type r 12 dvc sub and a box for under $500 like you said and ill bet you would love it. You would be able to get a good amp too and still be under $500

Get the 10 in Junior..Like said a much more tighter bass..And NAte, OMG, 50k? lol she must rattle, I used to put mine on 80 IIRC..

And cam, those solarbarics are awesome.I luv kicker subs...That WCC one in link junior if they got one in the 10inch i say thats ok.

But a 12 might be too low and bassy for your likings..

I think bestbuy will install the amp and sub for around $100 or so...I say go to your local audio shops if ya have any,and shop around in person.

You can feel and listen to them if they set up in display.. Alot people will get a mono amp for a sub.But i like a 2 channel better so i can use it in a different setup if i change my mind..

So what ya thinking about getting now that we filled your head with all this info? :rockon:

I wish ya lived near by,i would love to help ya out with system.It's been long time since i did any install.So i like to get back into it.Simple install at that.Nothing too fancy...

You won't be disappointed with your decision on the 10 or 12. The 10 is more compact and saves space while the 12 is deeper and people hear you from farther away. I prefer the 12 because I'm a teenager and like to be obnoxious and have people hear me coming. Good luck!

It's not terribly hard if you find yourself a good step by step tutorial. We might be able to show you on here. The biggest thing is to make sure you take your time and be patient. Rushing it might be the difference between having a nice sounding system and a blown sub two days into having it.

The JBL and Kenwood are both quality but I wouldn't trust the Boss personally. Out of all three I'd go with the JBL.
