Hey Junior-
Little late to this party, but I highly recommend getting something by Image Dynamics. Seeing as how you listen to a wide range of music and don't care about being heard 2 blocks away these may be for you. ID is noted for their sound quality and accuracy. Take a look at the links below. If I still lived in MI, I'd be able to help you out on an install, but I recommend maybe finding a friend that is familiar with audio systems and have a DIY session. Personally, I find that installing car audio is a lot of fun. Plus, it helps if something goes wrong and you need to trouble-shoot. Anyways, below are a few recommendations for some good sound quality.

I would say go with a .9-1.0 cubic inch basic enclosure. Can probably get one for ~$50
I would pair this with the amp below

If you want to spend less on a sub, see their entry level subs below. You will still get great sound from them, but the IDQ series is definitely my favorite.

And I would pair it with the amp below

Ultimately, there are a lot of combinations that will sound good. I am an advocate for Image Dynamics just because of their great sound quality. Those are just a couple options for the top and bottom of your price range. Throw in a $40-$50 8GA amp kit (but spend the money to get better RCA cables than what comes with the kit. Should be able to get a good pair for $30). Personally, I am leaning towards a Thunderform like AJC recommended because I fill up my cargo space a lot more than I thought I would. Still deciding if I want to get the powered model or get my own amp for it. Hope this helps. Hit me up if you have any questions about brands and what not, I am happy to help.
