Just the fact that the old forum was horribly outdated was enough to cause a lot of long time members to gradually drift away. Many members offered to help out with the site & where totally rebuffed by the site owner I guess.
The members who had tried to stick it out finally got fed up with the way the old site was being run, the total lack of any reasonable moderation which allowed 27 page flame wars to continue just got to the point where it wasn't fun anymore.
Stick around here for a bit & I think you will see a real fresh improvement in the whole atmosphere. The site is constantly being updated/upgraded & constructive suggestions are always welcome (unlike the other site).
If you don't like it here, then stick with the old way. Nobody here will hold it against you. There is no reason we can't all get along/co-exist just fine.
