why cant you use the rear diff?? ive jacked up vehicles using the read diff thousands of times.

weird. we have 4x4 trucks with aluminum housings for the rear diff, some of them are fitted with an ambulance body, 4 stretchers and all the gear, and as long as the jack does not rest on the drain plug, the aluminum will survive.
