Teaser: here are the temp and speedometer gauge boards at 1/4 brightness. They fit perfectly inside the gauge cavities and replace the six incandescent bulbs. The LEDs run at around 8mA each in the fuel and temp gauges, and at around 9.5mA each in the speedometer and tach gauges. They'll outlast the car, the gauges are about five times as bright as the factory gauges, and the total current draw for all 26 LEDs is less than only one of the six factory bulbs.

And there's no more need for a gradient pattern behind the gauge faces---just a diffused white coating, or any color. You can even remove them and reinstall the bulbs if you sell the car.

Looks like B it is JP...
Trust me, you won't regret it. With your nav system, it'll look perfect.
I bet that will look sharp. B for me as well.
I have a 2006 Tribute cluster body and the gauge face from my 2005 Escape (I swapped them when I had my Escape). Here's what the fuel gauge looks like with the LED board, lighted during the day.

PS...the blue is a lot deeper than what you can see in this picture. I'm using my "beater" camera (a 4-year-old Nikon E3100) on this.

Hmm, must admit, I do like these, esp since I've had my dashboard in bits 3x in the last month, replacing bulbs that seem to be blowing one after another...

And at £21.00 (+17.5%VAT) PER BULB  (approx $40), would be a heck of a lot cheaper

Can I play Devil's Advocate? Why not have the 'C' blue and the 'H' red?
very nice BC! Maybe cuz JP doesn't have red paint?
Only if I'm properly motivated...

Mmmm...Blizzards...mmm...
The cluster is almost done.

Teaser:

Just remember that the blue actually looks much deeper, and that the red (brighter) needles and new blue message center aren't shown here, since the cluster board isn't installed behind the gauge faces and face plate yet.

The blue shows up better at the top of this pic:
