2002 Escape with almost 136,000 miles. I bought it last Saturday so only about 350 of those miles are mine. Hopefully it will last at least another 50k miles.

brother in laws had 400 xxx km and one motor and one tranny later it was destoyed by the flood we had here

I've got a 2008 escape with 336,703 miles and still runs great.
I had 190K on my 2009 FEH Limited when I sold it. It was rocksolid.

Wow, 336k is impressive - my tow truck friend know of 2 that had over 300k.
I just bot a 2010 w/220k from original owner, traveled a lot, my friend did all the service on it and told me about it so I got it.
Original engine/trans (knock on wood), some wheel arch rust, not terrible, tailgate bottom gone, but found nice one in UPull&Pay. Rockers bad but inboard wall appears to be ok - the double inner/outer rockers are shot. I can weld and also got the rust repair sheet metal from UPP.
UPP yesterday had $5 Radios and Speakers, so I took Radio & subharness, Door speakers, Sub Module & trim cover for a 2008 Mariner for like $45 total. However I'm not sure if it will work in the 2010. I've looked at over a dozen in the yard and this was the only Premium/Audiophile Sound System - never saw a Navigation one either.

2004 Escape XLT with only 75,000 miles on it because my jobs never involved more than 15 minutes of commuting each way. BTW, I highly recommend living close to your job or even working from home. That $40,000 you spend every five years for a new car can be saved for retirement. And it does build up over time.
I have kept it this long for several more reasons.
Except for the alternator, it is easy to repair for a DIYer.
The only issue was the common rusted passenger wheel well.
I didn't have the tools, so I gave $800 to an auto body shop to weld in a patch.
I also spent several weekends installing a new radio, amp, and subwoofer, so I got the sound tuned the way I like it.
