Hello

Has anyone encountered a wind sound that appears to becoming from the dashboard area (passenger side) when driving a highway speeds. It truly sounds like the fan is running defrost on mod/high setting but everything is off. This is a 2008 Escape XLT

That's normal. The cabin air intake is on the passenger side cowl, and at highway speeds you get a ram air effect that pushes air into the cabin. The fan should always be left on at least the lowest setting to prevent mildew buildup.
