Anyone have the new Explorer 8, it was in my updates ;-| Just wondering if you can shut off the history and favorites list everytime you pull down the address bar. Not that I care but it's kinda annoying to have a bunch of stuff come down when your looking for a site.

You can shut that off through Tools > Options > Content > AutoComplete > uncheck Address Bar.

Pretty much the same. I disabled the suggested sites. I like the dropdown feature in the search though.
I've had to use the compatibility view for my banking site to get it to look "normal"
More stuff for web developers to sift through.

I always recommend switching to FireFox. It's always updated for the better, no waiting for microsoft to get around to fixing things. Web pages are more consistent, safer browsing. I think it was in March of this year when Firefox took the lead over IE7.

Cool... Now does anyone know how to make the Address drop-down display just websites?

I don't know why they decided to put folder paths in the IE history. I find this incredibly annoying. I use Internet Explorer for websites and Windows Explorer for folders on my computer & network. I prefer a clear division between the two the way it used to be...

I have used ' Mozilla Firefox' , as a web browser in the past.

Experimented with ' Netscape ' a few times, but was not keen on the aesthetics.

At the moment feel comfortable, with ' Internet Explorer' for net surfing.

Oops, there goes that selective reading again. If you just want it to suggest sites you have entered in the past, go to the same AutoComplete dialog at Tools > Options > Content > AutoComplete, and instead of unchecking the entire Address Bar option, uncheck the History and Favorites options below it. You can also disable suggested Feeds and Windows Live Search if you want to.

I dunno, must be wrong about the build number. :shrug: I should have remembered it. That's the software that I blame for crashing my laptop harddrive several years ago.
