Looks amazing, I just placed an order for those lights and I'll be putting them in my 2011 escape. Ordered the ford explorer brackets to see if I can modify them but I'll probably end up just using your modification to the original foglights. I may start a thread for my lighting set up, thanks for the inspiration!!

Okay, I'll let you know what happens. I'll install them at the end of the week. Thanks for your help!

I have recently looking into this in MN. Up here for volunteer firefighters like myself the only permissible color is orange and they cant alternate, so they can basically be set up like additional hazard lights. We can also pay $15 for a permit to have 1-3" red light (non strobe) on the front of a personal vehicle no higher than the windsheild line so thats dumb.
I was looking into hideaways or something but just cant do it here at least.
Good for you tho if you can get away with it there.

Doing the install tomorrow! Just to be sure, in case the mounting brackets can't be modified, I will be drilling holes in the back of the foglight housing itself and putting screws through it mounting the foglight to the foglight housing replacing the foglight lens.

I know I am a ways behind this post and hopefully someone who has done the install is still following this thread...I was wondering if you had any luck in removing the entire fog light rather than drilling! Hope I can get some info and would like to avoid drilling if possible! Thanks!

Please don't use wire nuts for automotive use. They are not designed for that. At the very least get some crimp on connectors.

Where is a good place to get these? I have a guy in my town who is on the local rescue squad and might be interested in these. I don't believe he is on here but I would like to show him this to help him out since he has done work already to his E.
