Painting the lip of 2005 escape XLT?

Ive got the ‘05 escape XLT that im wanting to paint myself, just using rattle cans. Im starting to look into it but cant find much on painting the bumper/lip that goes all the way around the car, if i sand it and paint it like i do the rest of the car will it do okay long term?

the bumper lip that you're referring to, its that typical mat-grey color that the 1st Gen Escapes came with, right? I've used the brand SEM to restore that trim before. SEM part# 39193 Dark Gray Bumper is what you're gonna need. 2 cans will do the whole car all around.
