Dings to Door Pillar Black Fascia: Replaceable?

Hello,

2009 XLT Escape

I discovered some 8 dents all over the the black-finish metal fascia covering the rear vertical pillar of the front passenger (right) door frame, and a couple more on the the forward vertical pillar of the rear right door frame fascia.

They are small dings 1/2" to 1/4". I can find perfectly good replacement fascia at a wrecker. Can they be removed easily and re-installed easily enough to my 2009 vehicle? (Pic link below to show the area.)

Yes, they can be replaced. I had to do my front driver's door when it got a huge ding from a truck mirror. Got a new one from Ford. Reasonably priced.

Pretty sure you are looking for part number 8L8Z-7820554-AA but please verify it, that should be the passenger side front door pillar trim.

I found some panels at a JY for next to nothing. However, I found too they are riveted onto the pillar. Had to cut the aluminum rivets to remove the trim.

The trim's top attachment point is an oval ring, whereas the bottom point is a half-circle notch.

How did you install your replacements? I think one rivet will have to be removed from my vehicle, at least. What can replace the rivet?

UPDATE: bought an inexpensive riveter kit.
