Liftpoint for 2014 ford edge.

Postby thesavo - January 13th, 2019, 2:53 pm

Please help me find the 4 lift points on an 2014 edge AWD. Apperently that's a secret. I want to use a hydrologic floor jack. I don't want to use the pinch welds and a scissor jack. That's all the help i could find. There's no good videos on you tube for this. I searched edge forum, a Mazda cx7 board and Lincoln mkx. Nothing other than "use the pinch welds" comes up. Every thing I have destroys the pinch welds. I am starting on the rear brakes and need help there especially. Thanks all.

I looked and there was nothing in the owner manual about this type of jacking up the vehicle. Only reference was to the scissor jack.

That was my first look, the '14 owners guide. Nothing helful there. Edge group on Fb saying to get a slit puck for the floor jack.
Like this one. None gave good suggestions for where to put a safety stand.

That works great on the front pinch weld. Now I need to find a place to put the jack stand. Here's what the front subframe looks like. Very few flat spots
